Dognormous is glad to see you stop by! We are a one on one dog grooming spa that offer high end products with a holistic touch. The services we offer are more than just a groom, we think about the health of skin, coat, body, and the mindset of your dog. With one on one, your dog gets our full attention from start to finish. Our groomers do not stop to answer phones during your time slot, nor do they stop for nail trims. While we can’t leave a dog biscuit on your dogs bed, we can end the grooming service with a cookie.

To make it easier on our intake, we have all new clients fill out an application form. It helps put you and your pup into our system, and it helps keep everyone’s requests in an organized manner so we can reach out more efficiently.

This also helps us make sure that everyone’s names are spelled correctly and phone numbers are put in all proper. Add a recent picture of your pupper, and we’ll be able to process you much faster.

Unfortunately, not all our services are for everyone. That’s okay, we will try our absolute best to point you in the right direction to find someone who is a good fit for you if you can not fit in with us. We also ask that you be patient, there is a lot to process and with only having limited hours of down time from all the grooming we do, we try to get through everyone as quickly as possible.

-A look on our services-

We’re a little different in the fact that we charge by the hour. What does that mean? That means that the amount of time that your dog is worked on is what your charge is. If your dog is on a routine (typically 4-6 weeks) then the amount of time to complete the service is going to be lower than if you allow the hair cut to go longer between grooms. More hair takes longer to dry, and we bath all dogs before they are trimmed. Mats take time to get through, both being cut out or brushed out if they are workable. Dogs who are iffy about their nails or struggle with certain tools near their face also take time to work through. We will never try to speed through the process if a dog has difficulties with something. If we can not get them to calm or relax to achieve the desired service, then we will stop and charge your for the allotted time your pet consumed. Those who are on a routine do not tend to have any trouble with the service, as it’s just a way of life for them.

-Specialty Services-

We do have a master groomer on hand for any specialty services such as hand stripping, rare or complicated breed trims, or for our troubled skin clients. These rates do run a little higher since a specialist is needed to complete these services. It’s the same concept as the hourly, but a premium rate. If a Master Groomer is needed, you will receive a follow up upon your application.

-Bathing Services-

Our bathing services are $60/hour. All bathing services include a bath with our premium shampoo and conditioner, nail trimming, ear cleaning, sanitary trim (the potty areas), rounding of the feet, and if need be, a bit of trimming to clean up the eyes, anal glands and/or ear hair plucking* upon request. Deshedding is part of our bathing services but the amount of time it takes to get all that hair out will add on to the time of your service. Keep in mind that our examples are based on weight of the dog, but a 60 pound Lab will not take as long as a 60 pound Samoyed.

-Grooming Services-

Our grooming services are $80/hour. All grooming services include a bath with our premium shampoo and conditioner, nail trimming, ear cleaning, sanitary trim (the potty areas), all over trimming to desired length, anal glands and ear hair plucking if requested*. These price examples are priced on estimates based off what is typical for salon. The drying process of a longer coat will take longer than a short kept trim. So even if you only want a little bit taken off, the cleaning process may push you into another hour time slot. Your pup’s picture and explanation of desired outcome in the application process will help us narrow down exactly how much time is needed.
